How HORDE works

Watching and following

Follow a channel and the bell (Өртөө) tells you when it goes live or posts a full recording. Turn on device notifications from the bell dropdown to get an alert even with the site closed — on a phone, install HORDE first (Get the app, also in your account menu). If a channel shows "Next stream" on its page, that time is real — creators set it themselves, and it disappears once it's past.

Clips

The Clips feed is a vertical reel — like, comment, and share from the rail. Share sends the clip's own link through your phone's share sheet (or copies it); the link unfurls with a proper preview on Facebook and Messenger. Don't want a channel in your feed? Block it from the reel — undo from your Profile. See something that shouldn't be here? Report it — clips from the ⋯ menu, chat messages from the ⚑ that appears on hover; reports go straight to the moderation queue.

Rooms — where the community lives between streams

Public rooms: anyone joins with one tap. Private rooms: ask to join (the owner and moderators get your request) or use an invite link. Room owners can promote members to moderator; owners and moderators can remove messages and kick or ban members. During a live stream, a streamer can spin up a discussion room straight from chat — tap the card to join.

Direct messages

Messaging someone new sends a request first — they chat with you only after accepting. Mutual requests connect instantly. If someone leaves a conversation, it stays closed until they accept a fresh request. Declining is private: the other side is never told.

For streamers — before the stream

Everything lives on your Dashboard and in Studio → Settings:

• OBS setup: the dashboard's tuner measures your connection and hands you a ready OBS profile (server, key, bitrate — all set). Import it; read its README.
• Or stream from your phone or browser: tap Go live in the bar at the bottom of your phone's screen, or the button on your dashboard (it's /go-live) — pick a source and you're live. No OBS, no setup. Camera everywhere (front or back, flip mid-stream); Screen on Android and desktop (your mic carries the sound); Screen + face on desktop puts your camera in a bubble over the screen. Wait for the badge to say LIVE. Best on WiFi; on mobile data the picture adapts to your signal. iPhones can stream the camera only — Apple doesn't allow screen capture from the browser.
• Next stream's thumbnail: set it on the dashboard while offline — the moment you go live it becomes this session's cover everywhere, and stays on the VOD. There's also a channel-default thumbnail in Settings → Look, and with neither we grab a real frame from your stream.
• Schedule: Settings → Schedule publishes "Next stream: …" on your channel page. It removes itself two hours after the time passes — no stale promises.
• Chat dock: open the chat window from the dashboard before you stream — it waits and connects by itself at go-live. In OBS: View → Docks → Custom Browser Docks, paste the URL. Never add it as a browser Source.
• Welcome and goodbye: Settings lets you upload an intro image + song and an outro — shown to viewers as your stream starts and ends.
• Donations — you keep 100% (then 95%): viewers can donate on your channel through QPay, SocialPay, or Pocket. Until December 31, 2026 every tögrög is yours — HORDE takes 0% (YouTube keeps 30%; we even absorb the ~1% payment-channel fee). From 2027, HORDE keeps 5% and you receive 95% — still the best split of any platform. Payouts go out weekly by bank transfer to the private account you set in Settings → Payouts, ₮10,000 minimum — smaller balances roll into the next week. Your account details are never shown to anyone; no account on file just means your balance waits for you, so set it early.

For streamers — while live

• Live monitor: the dashboard shows your outgoing stream about half a second behind reality (viewers are 3–5s behind — normal). Endless tunnel of mini-screens? OBS is capturing the screen this page is on — capture the game window instead.
• Tonight's thumbnail: change this session's cover mid-stream from the dashboard.
• Spin up a room: "+ Room" in your own chat creates a discussion room and drops a join card into every viewer's chat.
• Polls, predictions, and Clip that: run them from the chat column; viewers' 🎬 marks feed the auto-clipper.

For streamers — after the stream

Recordings appear on your channel automatically. Per VOD you can set its thumbnail, cut clips from it, or delete it (media is removed for good). The auto-clipper drafts clips from chat spikes and audio peaks — review, trim, and publish them in the Studio; published clips get a vertical 9:16 render for sharing.

Your account

Profile → set your display name and avatar (your email is never shown), manage blocked channels, and — if you ever want out — delete your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your data is removed, your messages become anonymous, your channel's media is taken down. Full terms: Terms of service.
